Ambrosia Chamber Ensemble
Having been the featured entertainment at Newport Beach's acclaimed Ambrosia restaurant for over twelve years, the Ambrosia Chamber Ensemble has developed an extensive and varied repertoire. Although the restaurant is no longer in business, the Ambrosia Chamber Ensemble continues to play and they sound better than ever. The ensemble can include flute, violin, viola, 'cello and/or harp; and can range from a duo to a quintet. You choose the instrumentation that best suits your needs. Philip Young has been recognized as an outstanding harpist for several decades, with innumerable appearances for many dignitaries and heads of state, on stage, radio and television.

Mr. Young has performed for Presidents Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy and Johnson. He has played with the Washington (D.C.) Opera Society, the Air Force Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and the "Strolling Strings."Ý

Entertainers with whom he has performed include The Carpenters, Steve Lawrence & Eydie Gorme, Wayne Newton, Neil Sedaka, Mac Davis, Eddie Rabbitt, Tony Orlando, Debbie Reynolds, Anthony Newley, Connie Stevens, Barry Manilow, Burt Bacharach, and Cher.

He appeared at Carnegie Hall, and four times on the Ed Sullivan Show. ÝBroadway stage work includes Kismet, South Pacific, and The Fantastics.
